Refund policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
PrivOptic sells digital products — applications, templates, toolkits, and training courses — delivered instantly by download. Because digital goods cannot be "returned" once delivered, this policy is necessarily different from a physical-goods returns policy. Please read it before you buy.
1. All Sales Are Final
All purchases of digital Products are final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges, except as expressly set out in Section 3 (Defective Products) or where a refund is required by applicable law. Please review the product description, included formats, and system or platform requirements carefully before purchasing — the product page states exactly what you will receive.
2. Cancellations
Because Products are delivered immediately and automatically upon payment confirmation, an order cannot be cancelled once it has been placed. There is no window between purchase and delivery in which a cancellation can occur. If you purchased the wrong product entirely (for example, two different products with similar names), contact us within 48 hours — before downloading the file — and we will work with you in good faith, which may include exchanging your license for the product you intended to buy. Any such accommodation is at our sole discretion and is not a right under this policy.
3. Defective Products — Repair or Replacement
We stand behind what we build. If a Product is materially defective — meaning it does not substantially match its product-page description or its files fail to function as described — notify us within 14 days of purchase with a description of the defect and, where applicable, your environment (browser, LMS, or software version). We will first repair the defect or provide a replacement copy. Repair or replacement is your sole and exclusive remedy for any defect. Only if we are unable to provide a working repaired or replacement copy within a reasonable time will we issue a refund of the purchase price.
The following are not defects and do not qualify for any remedy: change of mind or no-longer-needed purchases; incompatibility with platforms, versions, or configurations not listed on the product page; issues caused by your modifications to the files; failure of your own systems, LMS, network, or policies to permit deployment; and dissatisfaction with content, style, or approach where the Product matches its description.
4. Failed or Lost Downloads
If your download link fails, expires, or is lost, contact us and we will re-issue it at no charge after verifying your purchase. Re-issuance of your download is your sole remedy for delivery issues; a failed link is not grounds for a refund where a working link is provided.
5. Immediate Delivery and Waiver of Withdrawal (EU/UK Consumers)
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. For digital content supplied immediately, that right is lost once performance begins with your consent. By completing checkout, you expressly request and consent to immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once the download is made available to you. Nothing in this policy limits statutory remedies that cannot be waived under the law of your country of residence, including conformity remedies for defective digital content.
6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe there is a billing error, contact us first and allow 10 business days to resolve it before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Initiating a chargeback on a validly delivered Product is a material breach of our Terms of Service: it results in the immediate and automatic termination of all licenses granted to you, and we will contest the chargeback with delivery records, download logs, and acceptance of these terms. We reserve the right to refuse future sales to any customer who files an unwarranted chargeback.
7. Abuse of This Policy
We reserve the right to refuse a remedy under this policy, and to refuse future sales, where we reasonably determine that a request is fraudulent or abusive — including claims of defects made after extensive use of a functioning Product, repeated defect claims across purchases, or requests made after the Product's content has been extracted, copied, or deployed.
8. Refund Method and Timing
Where a refund is issued under Section 3 or as required by law, it will be made to the original payment method within 10 business days of our decision. We are not responsible for the time your bank or card issuer takes to post the credit. Issuance of a refund terminates your license to the refunded Product, and you must cease all use and destroy all copies.
9. Relationship to Our Terms of Service
This policy is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service, including the limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and governing law provisions there. If this policy and the Terms of Service conflict, the Terms of Service control.
10. Contact
